EXIM Bank has announced the on-line integration with the National Identity Card Authority (NIDA) that enables online verification of customer’s detail.
The Bank’s Group Head – Branch Operations, Eugen Massawe said that the intergration comes due to strong tie between the Bank and NIDA, which aimed at ensuring that the capabilities of the NIDA card are leveraged effectively.
Massawe said: “Our Core Banking System and technology team managed to develop an internal system which speaks to NIDA database directly and the moment the card is queried all the know your customer (KYC) details of the card holder get populated instantly.”
He pointed out that Exim Bank (T) Limited has become the first Bank in the country to connect online with NIDA.
He said that they have been able to connect all the Branches across the country in which all the Branches are able to verify NIDA cards on line.
Massawe further mentioned that, with this development, the Bank will be able to serve customers faster while ensuring controls across the Bank are adhered to.
He urged all customers to visit any of Exim Bank (T) Limited Branches along with their NIDA cards for quick service in terms of customer verification.
